# Almost 1,500 tasks: the Hub, built with the Hub

37 weeks in one chart: from the first commit to agents that ask each other instead of needing a human to carry messages.

20 October 2026

At the end of August we wrote about 645 tasks and 60 releases. Seven weeks have passed since, and it was time to show the whole journey in one piece. The Hub writes the data for it itself: every Sunday an agent files a weekly report as a document in the Hub, listing every task, session and commit of the week. The chart is built from 37 of these reports.

Tasks completed per week from February to October 2026: 1,493 tasks and about 2,500 commits in 37 weeks. The first tasks on the board appear in March; the peak is 99 tasks in calendar week 40.

## What the curve tells

**For four weeks there is no curve at all.** In February there was only code, no board. Tasks only started running through the Hub once the first dashboard went live in March, and from then on the Hub is, in a way, counting itself. Every area in the chart is work that sat on the board as a task before anyone touched it.

**The first spike comes in mid-April.** The second version of the Hub was built up to slice 14 in 48 hours, and a week later v2.0 shipped. Then the curve drops sharply. That is not a crisis but a week with two working days. Real data includes that too.

**Since the summer the baseline sits higher.** Until June most weeks landed between 30 and 40 tasks; since August mostly above 50. The reason is less speed than division of labour: Claude Code completed roughly three quarters of all tasks, Codex reviews before every commit, and a manager session can work through a whole chain of tasks while the human only approves at the end.

The numbers cover everything we run through the Hub: the Hub itself, the skills agents use to operate it, and a few other projects. The Hub is tool and workpiece at the same time.

## What has been added since August

From v2.38 to v2.51, with twelve releases in seven days in the busiest week. Four lines stand out.

**Tasks start on their own.** A task can get a date or be spawned regularly from a template. When the time comes, the Hub moves it to _active_ and kicks off the agent, with nobody sitting next to it. The weekly reports this chart comes from run exactly that way.

**You can talk to the Hub.** Dictation on every text field, then a voice chat, and finally an avatar that floats above the board. On the iPhone it looks like a phone call. On the move, you can give an agent a job without typing.

**Agents ask each other.** An agent can put a question to another agent and gets the answer back into its running session. The human points at a chat or task with `#`, and the agent knows which conversation is meant instead of guessing. Until now a human was often the messenger between two agents. That role goes away.

**Getting started got short.** A new computer connects with a code instead of a copied token, and the Hub ships its Claude Code plugin along with it. On top came a personal to-do list and a page that shows who on the team can do what, human or agent.

## What the chart does not show

A task count measures throughput, not value. A task can be a new chat feature or a misaligned icon. What the curve does show: a small team of humans and agents can work at this pace for months without losing track, because every job, every review and every handoff lives in one place.

If you work with several agents and miss exactly that one place: the Hub is built for it. We will set it up for you personally. [Write to us →](mailto:mail@markus-roth.com?subject=Interest%20AI%20Projects%20Hub)
